Seniors pastors or pastors seniors !
I remembered the time of my childhood and my ingenuity, it was in 1945 ! I was living in a small town along the Swiss and French border.
The time of the debacle of the army of the Third Reich (Germany) and every day the German soldiers were arriving to surrender their arms to the Swiss authorities and we, the children, we watched these men coming from the front of the war and were completely defeated.
World War II was at the end, thank God !
3 years later the radio spoke again of another war and Israel was becoming again a nation, it was the time of regaining the promised land by the Lord to Abraham and his descendants.
My classmates were ignoring everything about Israel, the children of Abraham, the Hebrews and the promised land by our God. During recess, knowing my love for the Word of God, they asked me if I could tell them more. So, my little friends formed a circle and I could tell them about God’s plan for Israel and announcing the return to the land of the patriarchs.
So they told me: you will be a pastor.
I said: No, I will be a missionary. I was just 9 years old!
And years have passed at high speed, I became a missionary and pastor. Let’s just say I became a pastor with a heart of a missionary. Because in my childhood vision, a pastor is a servant dressed in black while a missionary is active in the midst of people.

And after so many years as a pastor and evangelist, preaching the Gospel in several countries, I saw that the title or position of pastor was desired by many, but especially the senior pastor.
For what reason ? Because it means a man who is successful, who has authority, while missionary gives a less positive image.
Years are passing for everyone and what about when the senior pastor becomes old ? He becomes a pastor senior.

My call with this blog is for all pastors becoming like me, men with a certain age and therefore too old to lead a church to choose to become missionaries where the Lord God wants you to be useful
